Vanquis Bank
We are delighted to announce that Vanquis Bank have announced their intention to fund Breaks 4 Kids for a third year.
Vanquis sponsor five schools in Kent, allowing them to enjoy a residential break at a YHA centre. The schools are from some of the most financially deprived areas in the country and the funding allows children, who would not normally have been away on holiday, to enjoy a trip and activities at a hostel.
Employees from Vanquis meet the school before the trip, to get to know the teachers and the children and understand some of the problems they encounter in their lives. They then join the school on their trip to see how the acitvity break makes such a difference to the lives of the children.

"Vanquis are committed to programmes that assist young people. By supporting Breaks 4 Kids and working together with YHA, Vanquis are able to provide opportunities for many children in the Medway area to enjoy the benefits of social and educational activities. All of the schools involved include a high proportion of financially disadvantaged children from low-income families. Without support from Vanquis, it is unlikely that the children would be able to go on school trips."
