Derbyshire Crimebeat
Longcliffe Quarries have generously agreed to donate £5,000 a year for the next 5 years to Breaks 4 kids. This money will be distributed via the Derbyshire Crimebeat scheme.
Derbyshire Crimebeat was launched in 1992 and like Breaks 4 Kids, provides an opportunity for young people to use their energies and imagination to improve the quality of life for themselves and for the people in their communities.
This new partnership will provide funding for schools and youth groups to have the opportunity to benefit from a 1 night residential with activities at a YHA centre. These trips will give young people the chance to broaden their horizons, develop team building and improve self confidence.

"This is a great initiative which will allow disadvantaged children to experience outdoor activities. The partnership with Derbyshire Crimebeat and Breaks 4 Kids will enable young people to explore new surroundings, develop a passion for the outdoors and return to their communities with an energised and positive outlook."
