YHA Castleton

Children become time detectives as they build up a timeline of Castleton settlers from prehistoric times to the present day through a series of activities and role-play. They learn to fire a longbow, take part in an archaeological dig, build a Roman siege engine, solve a Saxon Rune Puzzle, storm a Norman Castle, defend a Celtic fortress or are conscripted into the Roman army by a Centurion.
